Mehndi Medallion

Finally had time to ink up my Mehndi medallion Stamps.  I have been entertaining the idea of stamping the large medallion onto a doily.  I didn't know if it would fit.  I think it fits nicely. (My positioning is off a wee bit.)

I decided to use sepia ink which reminded me of the henna tattoos which arecurrently in vogue at the Jersey shore. Sponged off the doily edges with the sepia ink too. I finished it off with a strip of PTI's vintage cream grograin ribbon and two large crystals.  There is a tiny crystal in the middle of the sepia medallion.

The inside of my card is finished.  I don't know if I like it.

I  haven't stamped a sentiment since I am not sure which occassion I would use it for .  Any suggestions?

The day has finally come to attempt my first post.  I have been a lurker of blogs; mostly those associated with PTI (Papertrey Ink).  Blogs are a source of inspiration for my real interests: cardmaking, crafts, scrapbooking and reading. Writing is not my strength.  However, I have wanted to become more involved in the weekly/monthly challenges hosted by PTI; thus the inception of my blog.

Technology is not my strength.  I have no idea how to attach photos to this blog; nor do I know how to take quality photos of the cards I make.  I will learn even though doing so will put me out of my confort zone.

I DID IT!!!!  I attached an image of the card I made for PTI 's Make It Monday Challenge: Polaroid 2 Step Masking.  Believe it or not, this was my 3rd attempt at the dress form as I did not like the first 2 that I made. Even though I cut my mask in two places, I only masked the frame using sepia ink.  I masked the dress form with fresh snow and added a skirt with scraps from a doily that I dabbed with black ink.  My intention was to make the dress form appear to be in a window so I used the banner builder die to make an awning using dimensionals.  I added the crystals as a finishing touch.
