September 2011 Blog Hop

Today is Papertrey Ink's monthly blog hop.  Nicole has been using images the past couple of months to get our creative juices flowing.

The-Challenge
  Sept-Blog-Hop-Inspiration

To be perfectly honest, I had a hard time with this challenge because I am not really a stripe person. I am more of a polka dot girl.  In addition, I did not like the colors.  My card reflects the stripes on the left side of the image above.

I used the die that coordinates with the newly released Christmas Label stamp set.

Here's a close-up of the shoe.  The fluffy puff on the shoe is a feather curled up and trimmed. The shoe is popped up with dimensionals.

If I am not too late, I think I will submit this for Color Throwdown #160 here.
Thanks for looking.

Supplies: PTI CS: Vintage Cream, Sweet Blush, Dark Chocolate.
Ink: Archival Ink,  Sepia
Stamps: PTI's Polka Dot Basic, Impression Obsession's Marabou Slipper
Die: Christmas Label
Other: feather, dimensionals, CopicRV10

You took it and made it your own, stripes included -- what a FUN card!

Love your card! It made me smile as I recall having a pair of slippers like that back when I was young from Victoria Secret. The cat had a fun time and all the feathers were gone one day. Thanks for the smile.

You were so smart to turn the photo into something you like. I also didn't like the photo, but ended up with a card I like. I love how that new die looks. Perfect for that sentiment.
