Turning 2 with Elmo!!

My granddaughter turned 2 yesterday. We celebrated her birthday on Saturday. She wanted an Elmo Birthday party! Her shirt reads, "Elmo loves hugs!"

Of course, this grandma can't resist making party decorations. The street sign was inspired by pictures on Pinterest.

One of my favorite party decorations is making birthday banners. I used the Pure Poppy Striped Pattern Paper with Orange Zest card Stock for the pennants. Loved how it turned out.

Instead of a cake, my daughter made cupcakes. She doesn't like having her children eat foods with red dyes. The cupcake toppers turned out so cute!

Of course, no birthday party for "little uns" is complete without party hats. Love those white polka dots stamped on the Orange Zest card stock.

Lilly seems content with her cupcake.

Her Papa (whom she absolutely adores (even more than grandma)) painted her a special gift.

When she was going upstairs to take her nap after the party she told her mom, "Elmo, upstairs!"
Thanks for stopping by!

All your Elmo and Sesame decorations turned out so cute, Carol. The cutest, though, is your little Lilly. . . just look at that smile.

You are the best grandma EVER! Your decorations are all so cute. But, the cutest is that darling little girl. Love those pigtails. And, when she looks at you with those big blue eyes, I'll bet you melt every time.
