Cas-u-al Friday #69

I decided to try my hand this week at submitting a card to the Cas-u-al Fridays challenge which is to create a CAS project using embossing; dry, heat or a combination of the two.

Immediately the components of this card popped into my head. (Believe me that is rare!)

Here's an up close shot of the embossed panel using one of my Cuttlebug folders. The bitty bird is cut using PTI Blueberry Sky felt. I used a french knot to create the bird's eye.
As I was assembling the card, the idea to emboss the card base using PTI's Linen & Canvas impression plate came to me. It adds some nice texture to the card base. You can see it in the photo below. The sentiment is from Peaceful Garden stamped in Blueberry Sky ink.

I am also going to enter this in Sweet Stampin Challenge . The challenge this week is white on white.
   Thanks for stopping by.

Very pretty, Carol! I keep debating on whether or not to get the Linen and Canvas IP-- I love how you used it here!

Heh, dry embossing was never my forte, but you made a superb card. Very fitting ♥
