Bah Humbug 2013

Bah Humbug! That's my brother-in-law's favorite expression during the holiday season.  Of course it is said in jest with a wry smile.  Through the years I have bought him a couple of Bah humbug items when I happen to venture upon one.  However, every year I do make him a bah humbug card which I know he looks forward to receiving .  Here are my cards from the two previous years: 2011 and 2012.

My brother-in-law didn't think he was getting one this year as I actually made it in November, stuck it in a closet and only came upon it the 18th of December.  I told him I had been too busy making his daughter's wedding and shower invitatons and favors. He actually received it the day his daughter got married.

Bah Humbug 2013!

I hope you aren't offended by the inside.

He loved the card. Thought it was the best one yet.  When my sister saw the outside she commented it didn't look like a bah humbug card. She laughed when she read the inside. Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

Bah Humbug! 2012

Here's the 2012 rendition of the Bah Humbug card I send to my "jokester" brother-in-law. He looks forward to receiving this type of card every year.

I thought I would use the color black this year with just a touch of christmas colors. The letters were cut using my Sizzix dies.

I really like the inside sentiment I created with a stamp and my computer.

  Here's last year's card.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek..

Bah Humbug!

My brother-in-law is one funny guy.  He has an awesome sense of humor, although sometimes his jokes are lame. But, he always makes me laugh.   For years, I have been sending him Bah Humbug cards.  I don't remember why I started to do this.  Probably it was a result of one of his jokes.

A couple of years ago, I found this stamp at the annual stamp exchange hosted by my local stamping store. I always incorporate it into my card somehow.

This is my Bah Humbug card for 2011.

You can se it is very non-traditional. I stamped the lamb, ran the top through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder. then I colored it using my copics. I used Frosted Lace Stickles to give the lamb some texture. I couldn't quite make up my mind how to do the "baa".  So I put the card down for a day.  While reading one of the threads in PTI's forum, it occurred to me that a tiny tag would be perfect.

I especially like the inside sentiment which is stamped on Spring Rain.  I don't know why why camera insisted it was gray.

     Thanks for looking.
