Festive Friday

I decided to take a little break from all the Easter cards I have been making. I've switched to Christmas.
Last year, I was frantic making my 70 Christmas cards. I am usually one who has them mailed the day after Thanksgiving. That didn't happen. In fact I think my cards went out about 10 days before the holiday. Being so anxious, my mojo was also lacking. This year I am determined to have the majority of my cards done by October. ( I am going to be in Europe the entire month of October so I'll be losing a lot of crafting time)   Perusing Melissa Philips' blog I came across a challenge called Festive Friday.
Every two weeks a new Christmas challenge is posted. The current one is to create a project incorporating a snowflake into the design.  Here is my card.  (Sorry for the poor lighting. Too much rain today)

Here's a close up of the tree  using the Layered Postmarks die in the Fabulous Frame with a felt snowflake from Snowflake Medley.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

Blog Hop : Snow Globe

I loved the challenge this month for Pti's Blog Hop. The theme is to use non-traditional color schemes for a holiday card or tag!  Several color combinations were given. This is the one I chose.

I have been wanting to make a shaker card using the snow globe. I followed the  MIM Video by Heather Nichole.
Here's an up close shot of the snow globe. Seems like my glitter is sticking more to the acetate than shaking around.

 Here's a closer look at the ribbon/sentiment.
Thanks for taking a peek. Now hop on over to another blog.

October Blog Hop

Christmas is only 2 months away! WOW!  But today is PTI's October Blog Hop. The challenge is about breaking out of your comfort zone and trying out some non-traditional color schemes for a holiday card or tag!  There are six non-traditional holiday color schemes to choose from.  For this card I chose

Color-group-3

Here's my card.
The snowflakes are cut from felt. The sentiment is stamped in London Fog (Memento ink). I used my copic to add a touch of color to the sentiment along with my Jelly Roll pen for some sparkle.

Thanks for taking a peek. Enjoy the rest of the Blog Hop
