Santa Claus

Today's card is different for many reasons.  First of all, the finished size of the card is 5.25 by 6.5.
The image on the stamp is quite large itself. (3.75 by 4.25).  I found this rubber stamp at a garage sale this summer and fell in love with it. The company's name was illegible so I have no idea of the manufacturer. Santa is stamped in Marvy red.

Another thing different aboutthis card is, it is not really a card, but a postcard due to the size. The sentiment is stamped on the back.

The burgandy cardstock is from my stash. The background is made using a rubber stamp by Magenta inked with Soft Sage. (Memories)  I am not use to making cards without embellishments.  Perhaps I'll submit it for this week's Cas-ual Fridays Challenge #29.

My card sure does have a lot of matting. The sentiment is just placed differently since it is part of the image.
Thanks for looking.

Love this card. How clever of you to make it a postcard and change the size. What a great garage sale bargain you found. That image is so detailed and beautiful.

Oh classic Santa! And this image even lends itself to going on a postcard. Oh this is so vintage - love!
