Several years ago I purchased a rubber stamp of a log cross from Art Gone Wild. The image is perfect for sympathy cards. I thought if I paired it up with the words He is Risen, it would work for Easter.
The font is computer generated. The elements I used are pretty symbolic. I stamped the cross on vellum with white Colorbox ink and embossed it with white embossing powder as a symbol of the Risen Lord. I used Copics to add color to the flowers. Kraft cardstock embossed with the woodgrain IP symbolizes the wooden cross our Lord died on.
Here is the same version with some different colors.
I made 4 of these cards to send to my MIL as well as my aunts & uncles. I know they will like the religious theme of the card. Thanks for stopping by.

Love the idea of the cross with the vellum and embossing...really stands out!
Love the cross with the vellum and then the added woodgrain underneath is perfect! Beautiful! Great job on the embossing too!
Very pretty.
Oh, this is beautiful! I love the cross embossed in white, and the embossed Kraft mat! This is a perfect Easter card!
i love your white embossing on vellum against the woodgrain IP. I love that you thought about symbolism too.
Oh this one is so pretty. Nice to see a card with the meaning of Easter, eggs and bunnies are cute but not the reason we celebrate Easter. Don't get me wrong I like the others too! Very pretty with the vellum.
