PTI Blog Hop: March 2018

Good afternoon. It is the 25th of the month. Time for PTI's Blog Hop.  This month's inspiration photo screams spring & Easter.

Since my stash of stamps is devoid of tulips and birds, I decided to focus on Easter and use my stamps from the February release.

I decided to combine Bunny Blessings with Betsy's Seasonal Borders: Spring.  That stamp set is my favorite (currently). Can't wait to see the release for the other seasons.

Hope everyone has a great Spring and a Happy Easter.  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

PTI: Create With Us March 2018

I think this is the first time I am playing along with PTI' Create along with us challenge.  I was inspired by the background and color combination of  Melissa's card.  Needless to say, I have  been working on this card for a number of days in between some other projects and I am just getting it submitted with a few hours to spare.

I used the quatrefoil cover plate to create my stencil.
I really wanted to use a different flower in the upper right hand corner.  However, I seemed to have misplaced my Floral Sketches Stamp set.

PTI Blog Hop: February 2018

It's the 25th of the month. That means PTI is hosting their monthly blog hop. I'm on a roll.  My 2nd PTI Blog Hop this year.  February was a fabulous release month at PTI. Of course, I bought all of their Easter products and then some.  The photo inspiration this month is an opportunity to use these wonderful products.

I couldn't resist using the newly released Shape Shifter for my background. Love the bunny image too. I combined the flowers from Bitty Bouquet with those in Bunny Blessing.

PTI MIM Challenge: Framing Sentiments

I love this week's  MIM at PTI.  The challenge this week is Framing Sentiments.  I'm on an Easter kick.  I used all old products, nothing from recent releases. I think Bitty Bouquet is a perfect stamp set for Easter.

Make It Monday # 237 Matchbook

Wednesday, January 20, 2016

Yesterday when I went to the store to buy some little "goodie" to make for this week's  Make It Monday sponsored by PTI, I got side tracked when I spotted these.

Nothing like rushing the season. I never did pick up anything for Valentine's Day. So instead of making a matchbook Valenitne, I made a matchbook with an Easter theme.
My daughter loves these mini-eggs.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop: March

Just a quick post for today's blog hop at Papertrey Inks.  The challenge is based on this photo.

Blog inspiration

 Here's my card.

I used my MISTI to stamp the multiple bitty bouquet die cuts.  Soooo easy and fast too! I just love that tool. So worth the price.

Here's a different version; added the ribbon and left off the raindrops.

Do you have a favorite?
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. Enjoy the blog hop.

Easter Invitation

It's snowing right now. Expecting at least 6 inches before day break. It's hard to believe that Easter is just a month away. I decided to break out some old stamp sets to create some Easter Invitations.
My idea was to combine the chick in the egg with the flowers from Sweet Spring. However when I assembled the card, I wasn't exactly crazy about it.

With a few minor changes, I ended up with this version.

I used my computer to generate the sentiment and my MISTI to stamp the label and flowers. Love this tool. It makes multiple card stamping a breeze. So which invite do you think I should actually send?

I'm submitting this to the challenge to Addicted To Stamps.  The theme is holiday.

Pti Blog Hop: Bunny Bag

Found some to finally make that cute little bunny bag, but I had to rewatch Nicole' s video first. Super easy to make. There's still time to submit it to this month's blog hop at Papertrey Ink where the challenge is to create a spring project.

I used the basket die from Scrambled eggs and filled it with the eggs from Hippity Hoppity.  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

A different Easter Card

Spring is the theme this month at PTI's Blog Hop.  What holiday comes to mind is Easter; a time for beautiful flowers, blooming trees and pastel colors. I made Easter cards for my grandaughters using the lunch box note die. I bought this die months ago. I decided it was about time I used it.
Here's the inside.

They really liked it when I attached candfy to their Valentine card. So I decided to do it for Easter too even though they will get an Easter basket from me.

Here's the outside. Of course, it's purple. Olivia told me she loves it when I put jewels on the cards so I added some to the button.
 One for Lilly.

PTI blog Hop: February 2014

The 25th of each month is one of my favorite days because I look forward to participating in PTI'S Blog Hop. There are so many beautiful submissions, plus I look forward to seeing/commenting on what fellow crafters are creating. The challenge this month is to create a spring theme project. Here is the photo inspiration.

Here's my card..

I used a lot of old products: Sweet Spring, Christmas Label, picket fence die, woodgrain IP and the newly released Hippity Hop stamp set & die.

I used some flocking on the chick's wing. Here's an upclose shot of the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. Happy Hopping. Don't forget to comment on everyone's blog too!

Beautiful Bloom Hair Bow

I'm back with another Easter project for the challenge this week at Cas-ual Friday.

Show us your CAS Easter projects BUT we're throwing in a tricky twist...it CAN'T be a card.

My first project was  this stamped onsie I made for my 3 month old great niece to celebrate her first Easter. I just had to make her a little hairbow to coordinate with the onsie.

The ribbon is Sweet Blush Twill. The flowers were cut using Beautiful Blooms #3 with Hibicus Burst felt.
I used the Boutique Accessories Mini Stamp set to create a card to attach the bow..

I made a basket using The Berry Basket die.

The final presentation.

Bunny Onsie

My niece's baby, Clare, will be celebrating her first Easter tomorrow. I decided that called for a special Easter goodie. Being too young for chocolate, I decided to stamp a onsie. Seems like my project is perfect for this week's Cas-ual Friday challenge.

Tricky Bunny- With Easter and April Fools Day falling back to back, the Easter Bunny will no doubt be extra tricky. So...show us your CAS Easter projects BUT we're throwing in a tricky twist...it CAN'T be a card.

I used Palette Ink : Toile Pink to stamp the image and word and Palette Noir for the other words. Heat set it with a dry iron.

I debated about the tail. I considered a 10 mm pom pom or a white button. In the end, I thought it was safer to use nothing. I wouldn't want Clare to get either in her mouth by some strange chance. I really like how this turned out.

Yum!

When Polka dot Parade was first released, I immediately fell in love with this card by Betsy Veldman. I knew I would eventually case it.  Here's my version.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts Cupcakes.

Some Bunny Loves You!

Just  hopping in here with a quick post of the Easter cards I made for my granddaughters this year. I am so in love with the little bunny from PTI's Polka Dot Parade. Thought the sentiment was perfect for my granddaughters too! Decided to play along with the challenge from CASology.

The song that comes to mind whenever I use this stamp is a childhood ditty:
Here Comes Peter Cottontail

An upclose shot of the bunny and flowers.
Since Lilly has now decided her favorite color is purple like her sister, I changed up the pattern paper a bit so they can tell the difference. Each one likes to carry the card around the day they receive it.
Messed up with the grass on the purple card. Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

Retrosketch #55 Easter

I'm back for a 2nd week in a row playing along with this week's Retrosketch Challenge.

Here's my card. Stayed with the original sketch except for my ribbon placement.

A close up shot of the bunny & ribbon. I used the Half & Half die along with the scallop punch from Making Memories.

Retrosketches # 54

It's been awhile since I played along with one of the Retrosketches' challenges. Since I need to make close to a dozen Easter cards (all different, mind you) I need all the inspiration I can get. When I saw this week's sketch, I knew I could come up with something.

  My version.

I have been trying really hard to use older sets and pattern paper (whenever possible).  I love the color combination of Harvest Gold and Aqua Mist. The DT featured this color combo last year when the Scrambled Egg Stamp set was introduced.

After playing around with the mini eggs from this set, I preferred the outline image to one that is filled in with coloring. Besides it's faster. Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. I love all your comments. They are appreciated.

Easter Wishes

Back with another card for this week's CAS-ual Friday Challenge. I'm back to my Easter mode.

Use blocks of color in your Clean And Simple creations.

I used the mini eggs from Scrambled Eggs as my blocks of color. The bunny is stamped with soft stone ink. The sentiment is from Sweet Spring.

My layout was inspired by an Easter Decoration I had seen in one of the stores where I was shopping.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.

Happy Easter

The Cue card for this week's Casology Challenge is perfect for me. This is my 2nd submission.

I have been trying to use an many older sets as I can when I create my cards. I just have so much stuff. I am sure you can identify with this. I was successful in combining the bunny from Polka Dot Parade with some stamps from Sweet Spring and Christmas Labels.

Here's a close up shot of the bunny and picket fence.

The Happy Easter is an old red rubber mounted stamp from an unknown source. I actually stamped it last year, but never used it. I guess it does pay off to hold on to some die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by.

CAS-ual Fridays # 93 : Colorblock Challenge; Casology

It's been awhile since I played along with the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. But this weeks challenge fit perfectly with the card I was working on.

Use blocks of color in your Clean And Simple creations.

I am totally in love with that little bunny from Polka Dot Parade.

I think he is cuter with a little pom pom for a tail, but since I want to mail this card, I used the die propped up.  I wanted to add a sentiment; tried a variety of dies & sentiments, but I preferred the line up of the bunnies. What do you think? Should I have added a sentiment somewhere?

I  am also submitting this to Casology. I don't think I have ever participated in that challenge.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.
