MIM # 69 Inspiration into Uniques sketches

It's been awhile since I participated in a MIM challenge. In fact, I need to go back to the last three videos to view them.  This is one of those cards that did not turn out the way I had initially planned. Not wanting to use a floral image I opted to make a Christmas card. Figured I would get an early start. Choosing the coordinating pattern papers was easy. Finding an image that would coordinate proved to be futile. I initially planned on using the wreath from Wreath for All Seasons, but that didn't work. Next I tried a Christmas tree image; it was too small. To make it easy on myself I opted to stamp the sentiment from Wreath for All Seasons in the opening versus an image.

    Thanks for stopping by.

I love how it turned out. It looks like a peek into a present. Super cute!

I love where you put the sentiment. I kept wanting to do that too and seeing yours I really like it.

Your use of baker's twine and the button is a great touch too.

My biggest struggle is finding stamps to coordinate with the patterned paper I choose!
Great take on the sketch, Carol!

I love how this card turned out. I am still struggling in my head with what to do with this particular sketch, because I do love the sketch. I love how you moved the sentiment to inside--it really brings the focus onto your message.

I *like* the sentiment in the "opening" (for lack of a better word)! I think I'd use this sketch this way too. Congrats on being at least one ahead on your Christmas cards, Carol--I'm jealous! :-D

Great take on the sketch Carol, I love the sentiment peeking out of the opening, and it makes for a cool 'present' type card, as if you're unwrapping the paper!

What a great Christmas card. Don't you just hate it when you see something in your mind and it just doesn't work? It may have taken a few tries but the end result is great.
