My neighbor & I tried to make the ribbon flowers via Betsy's tutorial. However, we could not get our ribbon flowers to curl up. So we decided to use Betsy's colorful card layout with paper flowers and Dawn's bow tying technique.
I just love this color combination. Who would have ever thought pink & orange would look so great together with a touch of red? Betsy, of course!!!
For the flowers, I used the Beautiful Blooms die and stamp set. I cut a bit between the petals so I could curl them up some.
After I returned from dinner, I tried Betsy's ribbon flower technique again and by golly I got it to work. I guess I function best after I've had a couple of glasses of wine. Go figure. Look out for a future card containing ribbon flowers, but don't hold your breath. I need to order more ribbon.

Easter Chicks
Every Friday my intentions are to do as much crafting as possible over the weekend. But something always pops up and plays havoc with my plans. This weekend it was my vacuum cleaner. Died as I began vacuuming the family room. So instead of making some cards as planned, I spent the majority of the day researching vacuums and trying to see if it was worth getting my old one repaired.
I did manage to get one Easter card completed using the Scramble Egg stamp set. At the last minute I added the little chick from the Spring Filler stamp set.
Here's a close up shot of the chicks I colored using my Copics. This summer I am hopefully going to sign up for a class to learn how to uses these markers properly. Both egg shells are propped up with dimensionals.
I used the Christmas Label die with the Sweet Spring stamp set to create the sentiment. The flower is made from both Beautiful Blooms and Bloom Builder dies.
I just love the bright colors on this card. I am so ready for spring. Thank you for stopping by. I have another Easter card in the works, so stop by tomorrow for more.

Purple Ladybug Birthday Card
Keeping with the purple ladybug theme (see previous post) this is the card I created for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday. I used the large ladybug image from Little Lady. The 2 ladybugs on the bottom of the card were stamped directly on the white cardstock. I fussy cut a ladybug and used dimensionals for the top one. I also used dimensionals under the wings to make it appear like the ladybug was spreading its wings.
Supplies: White CS, Royal Velvet
Stamps: Little lady, Polka Dot Basics, Make a Wish Additions
Die: Beautiful Bloom
Other: Purple button, white twine, dimensionals
