Let It Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

It has been very humid here the past couple of days especially after a soggy Fourth of July weekend, but Christmas in July does conjure some cool thoughts. My card today is being submitted into two challenges:

Here's my card:

I  mounted the snowman on some cardstock so one can lift the top to see the inside sentiment.

I have about 1 1/2 dozen Christmas cards made so far, but. this is  a mere dent. I do enjoy making different cards instead of mass producing one type. However, the down side is it takes me hours just to come up with one idea. Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

Framed!

On the PTI forum, Danielle Flanders started a thread for a November holiday card challenge. The goal is to make a holiday card a day during the month of November. Good intentions I did have. Problem was it took me 2 days to make my first card. I had the sketch in my head, but had a difficult time picking out the colors I wanted to use.

I just love those diagonal stripes made with the newly released Super Stripe set by PTI.. Just perfect for a Christmas card. The background pattern paper is from Teresa Collins' Christmas Cottage collection
I was going to put this in the dynamic duos challenge until I noticed the tad of orange in the snowman's nose. Oh well. Thanks for stopping by.

A Snowman is Love and Laughter All Rolled Up into One.

Back in October when Nicole posted her lovely creations using the snowman die & stamp set, I knew he had to come to live in my house. Immediately I knew I would make the felt snowman ornament to put on the gifts for my two grandchildren & grandneices & nephew.  I made sure to order a package of the Vintage Cream felt.

One of my grandneices (age 5) loves (I mean really loves) pink.  Her room is a very bright pink. She is getting the snowman made from the Rasberry Fizz & Hibiscus Burst.  My 15 mo. old granddaughter is getting the Autumn Rose/Scarlet Jewel snowman.

The Blueberry Sky/Chartreuse snowman is going to my grand nephew and the Ocean Tides/Melon Berry is for my other grand neice.  She loves yellow, but I didn't have yellow felt. My grand neices & nephew live in Phoenix, so they don't get snow.

I still have one more to make.  My grand daughter Olivia loves purple. I need to get some Plum Pudding buttons before I can make one for her.
These snowmen were relatively easy to make. With the cutting out of felt, stitching, stuffing & gluing, each one took less than an hour.

thanks for stopping by.
