Trick or Treat Banner

You wouldn't know it from the October posts on my blog, but I have done a lot of crafting for Halloween.
When I saw the Halloween projects that Maile Belles created with the Spider dies, I knew I had to purchase them. I made two of these banners; one for my daughter and one for me.
Here's some up close shots of the individual banner pieces.

MIM #83 Card Aisle Inspiration

Rarely do I cruise down the card aisle for inspiration. However, after viewing the MIM # 83 video, I decided to give it a try. While at Krogers,  I saw several cards that I snapped pixs of with my camera phone. I decided to use this one since I still have about 6 more Halloween cards to make. (Sorry for the Blurred picture)

This is the card I made.

I had to stamp my sentiment on pattern paper because no other color was visible on the black card stock except for Fresh Snow and Sweet Blush which I did not want to use. The sentiment is stamped using the technique of selective stamping from Think Big Favorites # 1 and 7 as well as an old wooden stamp from my stash. Scary was stamped with Outline Alphabet and colored in.

Here are some up close shots of the scary critters.
The bat was stamped on Smoky Shadows card stock using an Inky Antic Halloween stamp set.

EEK!

This is my 3rd submission for Nicole's Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out. I've been entertaining the idea of creating a spider using black felt cut from one of the limitless layer oval die. I used the chevron die to make the legs using True Black card stock.  Isn't he cute?

. I attached a vellum spider web against a white panel impressed with the Striped Embossing Plate to create this card. Because I didn't want to have the spider take up the entire card, the base is 4 1/2 by 6 1/4".
