A Wreath Full of Joy

Back once again with another entry for this week's Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: White on White. I just love this challenge. Here's my take.

The rustic Wreath was run through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder to add some texture.  I used PTI's Stripes IP for the background. I pressed the joy die cut into my Versamark pad and used Judikins Aegean Silver embossing powder.
Making Christmas cards has paid off. Our humidity has broken and cooler temps have arrived. (at least for the weekend)

Monsters Three

Do you send out many Halloween cards? There are about a dozen people I send Halloween cards to in addition to my 2 granddaughters.  With the incentive of Nicole's Mr. Bone's Halloween Spook Out I am a third of the way finished with my Halloween cards.

I used PTI's Striped Impression plate on the top third of the card.  You can see the details better in the picture below. This is the first card I made those monsters in a non-ghost color and with one eye.

EEK!

This is my 3rd submission for Nicole's Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out. I've been entertaining the idea of creating a spider using black felt cut from one of the limitless layer oval die. I used the chevron die to make the legs using True Black card stock.  Isn't he cute?

. I attached a vellum spider web against a white panel impressed with the Striped Embossing Plate to create this card. Because I didn't want to have the spider take up the entire card, the base is 4 1/2 by 6 1/4".

MIM # 75 Roll The Dice

This week PTI has a neat challenge. One has to fill out a form created by Erin Lincoln, roll a dice and create a card based upon the # rolled and the corresponding element recorded on the form. Instead of rolling a dice, I used a number generator on my phone. Here's a shot of my completed form. In the image category, I  put stamp sets that needed more love. Coming up with color combinations was the hardest part for me.

This is what the number generator decided:
            Orientation: #4 Vertical
             Layout #6
Stamp Set Image: Lock and Key (what I was hoping would not come up)
Stamp set Sentiment : Delightful Dahlia (I think I am in trouble)
Color Combo: Winter wisteria, Kraft, Spring Rain, Simply Charteuse (I love this!)
             Embellishment: Button

And the resulting card:     As my granddaughter would say:   Ta  Daaaaa

The only other dies I used were the Striped IP and the Limitless Layers and Tag Dies

To solve my sentiment dilemma, I selectively stamped the single word "love" from "I just love you" in Delightful Dahlia and added "...is the key that opens the heart" from the Lock & Key Set. Since the sentiment is so small, I could not get a clear picture. This was a neat challenge. I really enjoyed it. I hope you get a chance to play along. Thanks for stopping by.

Lovely Layers Birthday Card!

Keeping with the Lovely Layer Flower and impressed stripes theme I used for the  All Occasion Card set  I posted earlier in the week, I made this card to accompany it.

I accidentally deleted the photo of the sentiment behind the zip strip. However, I did stamp it directly on the Hawaiian Shore card stock before impressing it. I originally bought the Striped IP for the side I used on the card set. But since my card was turned horizontally, I had to use the pin stripe side of the IP. Boy, I do love this look.

Seems like I am on a Hawaiian Shore kick lately. I must have had that card stock sitting in my stash for about a year before I recently started using it. Now I can't stop. Thanks for stopping by.

A Gift Set

Last week I was busy crafting a birthday gift  for my daughter's mother-in-law.  We get along and celebrate most of the holidays together. We often get together for "ice tea".

Since I hadn't used the new Lovely Layers set yet, I decided to create 8 all occasion cards for her. For the base I used Summer Sunrise, Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores and Wisteria Purple.

The striped IP adds some nice background texture.

I used one of the old PTI boxes as my container since the 8 cards were rather bulky from the flower being propped up.

Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I will be sharing the gift bag & tag I put this gift in.

Merci

On a roll with my second entry for PTI's MIM # 71: Bordered Sentiments. I am in need of some thank you cards for all the lovely gifts I received upon my retirement. So I thought why not continue with this week's challenge. My card was inspired from this card by Betsy Veldman.

After I stamped the flowers, I used The striped IP to create some texture in the background. Because I didn't want the stripes around the bordered sentiment, I cut 2 strips of cardboard, glued them together and placed it on top of the IP where the sentiment was. This is one of those cards that turned out exactly as I had envisioned it.
Thanks for stopping by. All comments are appreciated. They brighten up my day!
