I love strawberries. PTI featured a strawberry stamp set this month, but I didn't buy it because I knew I wouldn't use it much. After all I think I have used the $5 strawberry stamp PTI released last year only once; perhaps twice. However as luck would have it, a co-worker and fellow stamper shared this link with me; a free digi strawberry stamp. The one drawback-- you have to color it. Coloring is not my forte; but what the heck, it was free. Knowing I'll probably use this image once or twice, I'll manage.
My layout is based upon this week's retrosketches #7 challenge.
I was actually inspired by this card made by Deanna of Kloset Kreations.
PTI's MIM technique this week features Layering. It is hard to see from this close up shot, but I cut out/colored the middle strawberry, two leaves and the pair of strawberry buds and propped them up using pop dots to add dimension to the image. Since I am mailing this card, I decided to use a die cut button.
.
This card is not photogenic as it looks 10 x's better in person. Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to eat some strawberries. Yum!
