Beautiful Bloom Hair Bow

I'm back with another Easter project for the challenge this week at Cas-ual Friday.

Show us your CAS Easter projects BUT we're throwing in a tricky twist...it CAN'T be a card.

My first project was  this stamped onsie I made for my 3 month old great niece to celebrate her first Easter. I just had to make her a little hairbow to coordinate with the onsie.

The ribbon is Sweet Blush Twill. The flowers were cut using Beautiful Blooms #3 with Hibicus Burst felt.
I used the Boutique Accessories Mini Stamp set to create a card to attach the bow..

I made a basket using The Berry Basket die.

The final presentation.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

Celebrating 90

Just a quick post today. My mother-in-law turned 90 last month. My sister-in-law called me the night before her party and asked me to make a banner using blue and yellow for her party. I was half way through when she called back to inform me that my mother-in-law was just admitted to the hospital and the party was cancelled.

I thought I would finish it anyway as I felt she could still have it hanging in her room.

I have made many banners. This was the first time I added flowers to one. I used the Beautiful Blossom die.

My mother-in-law is fine now for the time being. This is the third close call within the past year we came to losing her . She is a strong woman. Every time she recovers I think of her as a cat having nine lives. She is truly amazing.

Stamp-A-faire: Embellishments

Happy Monday! Were you able to get sufficient crafting time this weekend? This is my last Stamp-A-Faire project for submission. Since I have limited pattern papers, my Beautiful Blossoms embellishments resulted in

I used the new Fabulous Frames. Just love that die. It is going to be very versatile. I am glad I bought this one. I was debating between the Simple Chartreuse background or white. I wanted something bold, but now I am thinking the white might  have been a better choice.
The banner sentiment is "Happy Birthday" from Peaceful Garden. Since I stamped it in the Winter Wisteria, you can't  see it in the photo.

An up-close shot of those Beautiful Blooms embellishments on the frame.
Thank you for stopping by. Stamp-A-Faire gave me so many ideas that I am sure you will be seeing more on my blog. Right now I have to get back to making birthday party decorations as my granddaughters have parties in August and September.

Stamp-A-Faire : Card Camp Set

Gosh there were so many pretty card sets to choose from in this challenge. I had a difficult time choosing between the one Danielle and Betsy made. Danielle's won out, but I will be making Betsy's set for sure.  This took a little bit longer than expected because after I cut out the half & half shape, the inside was not smooth due to the cuts in the cutting plate. So I decided to line the dies with Sweet Blush.

I made a total of 8 cards; two each of  thank you, birthday, sympathy, thinking of you. I used sentimensts from a variety of stamp sets. My felt embellishments also included the small flower from  beautiful blooms. (which I accidentally left out when I took my photo.)
l

In some of the cards,Ialso stamped a sentiment on the inside.

My only concern is the size of these cards. I have to find envelopes. In addition, the envelopes might not be mailable due to size. So I am thinking I might cut a panel, emboss it and attach the mini card.. Until I make my final decision on the envelope, I will have to wait to make a holder for them.
