Merry Monday #273 Red & Turquoise

Still having cold, snowy weather which continues to encourage me to work on my Christmas stash for 2018.  The challenge this week at Merry Monday is to create a card using the colors red & turquoise which I happen to think is a very pretty combination.
I pulled out my old Polka Dot tree stamp fro PTI to create this card. the sentiment is from Peaceful Poinsettia. i wanted to accent the top area around the tree with a mini stamp from rustic wreath, but somehow I have misplaced it. Hopefully, I'll locate it before December.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

Merry Monday # White on White

Soon we will be celebrating the 4th of July, but here I am making Christmas cards in the heat of the summer.
This week the challenge at Merry Monday is to create a card that is white on white.

I made a quick little card using one of my favorite sets: Polka Dot Parade. The sentiment is embossed in Judikins Agean silver to give it a little sparkle.

The tree was embossed with the PTI Herringbone IP to add some texture.

Candy Cane Inspiration!

Just a quick post today for the current challenge at Festive Fridays which is to create a project based upon this picture.

I was searching in my box of Christmas card pattern papers looking for a candy cane pattern I bought last season, but was wooed more by this piece of  scarlet stripes I came across.

Inspired by this card from Melissa Phillips, I added the holly spring at the last moment. Guess I can submit it to this weeks challenge at Merry Monday.

Seize The Sketch

This is my first time to participatr in a challenge called Seize the Sketch.  When I saw the sketch, I had no problem figuring out what stamps or dies I would use. I even had the colors pictured in my mind.

 Here's my take.

Isn't that owl just adorable? the hearts on his chest are felt. I had a close up shot of him, but somehow deleted it. Love his googly eyes. Do you think I need to add a sentiment under the owl? Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.
