Decisions, decisions, decisions! The challenge for January's Blog Hop sponsered by PTI was to pick your favorite project from 2011 and share it! To take it a step further, we were also challenged to create a second card that was inspired by the favorite one selected. You can check here for all the details.
The card I picked that was my favorite was a masculine card I made for rmy son-in-law's 35th birthday.
There are many reasons why I love this card. Not only does it have one of my favorite color combinations, but more importantly it was an original design. The card I created for the Blog Hop is based on this design
I also created a 2nd card using the same color combination, but reversing them. I also changed the impression in the background and added heart shaped pearls by the sentiment.
Colored twine was used on this tag.
Is there a card you prefer? Do you think one background impression works better than the other?
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to enjoy the rest of the creations featured on the Blog Hop.

Sweet creations I love both styles.
I remember your original card. I think I might have CASED it! I do love both of your new cards. Those stitched felt hearts add just the sweetest touch. I don't know which one i like better. I guess I like the both a lot equally!
I love all your cards - so fun! Love the Valentines cards you created based on the original. I am an argyle freak, so I would probably go for the first one. But I also really love the cane print on the second. It would be a tough choice between the two - they're both fantastic! Love the little felt hearts. ;-)
Both are beautiful. I just love he pink of your new card. Anyone would love to receive either.
Fan of both cards, I just happen to love pink. Love the card with the light pink tag on it.
I think the little felt hearts are a perfect touch!
I love your inspired card! Those little heart flowers are adorable!
Both are terrific cards- lucky recipients!
Your masculine card is hard to beat, but I love how different the design looks in the different colours. The pink bacground card is my favourite.
Very beautiful...both of your cards! I love the 1st, very masculine card! And I love your second card! Karft and pink? LOVE! I also love the embossing and those pretty little felt hearts!

These are wonderful! My fav is the argyle embossed Valentine with the sweet felt hearts!
They are both great. Love the pink versions.
Sweet valentine cards. Love all the pink details on the Kraft card stock.
I really like both of them. Each one has its own highlights! In your revisit, I really like the colors, and I love that you turned the tag sideways - I would never think to do that, and it makes such a nice element!
Both cards are beautiful!

Love that first manly card...you know how to use an impression plate for sure! And I like that the second one you made it feminine...how cool, one card two ways!
Those stitched hearts are ADORABLE! I have got to remember that idea. Your pink and kraft color scheme is so sweet. Love the pinked edges on both sides!

Both of your revamped cards are lovely! I love the little pink felt hearts on the second one, but the softness of the pinks in the first one is really nice too. Great work!
