Mojo Monday

Happy Friday. I haven't done too many challenges so far this year, but when I saw  the sketch this week at Mojo Monday, I knew I had to play along by making a Valentine card with the pattern paper I bought from PTI last month.

I used the stamp set 2010 Love Tags.  I covered the hearts on the little lovebug with the tiny hearts from the butterfly die. I used my Copics ( R5, R32, E53) to color the bug.
I think the bow is what really makes this card stand out. I am embarrased to tell you how long it took for  me to make this double bow.  Seems like I can't tie a bow since I burned my 4 fingertips on my left hand a month ago. My burns were 3rd degree. Although I have feeling in my fingertips, it is more of a sensation. I had the darndest time pulling the ribbon through the loops. In the end it was worth it.

Now I have to decide who I am going to give this card to. Thank you for stopping by.

Supplies: CS: Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst, White
Stamps: PTI: 2010 Love Tags, Hero Art (sentiment)
Dies: Tiny Tags, Butterfly
Ink: Pure Poppy, Memories: Black
Other: PTI white silk ribbon, twine, PTI Paper: Simple Valentine

Such a great take on the challenge. Every little detail is perfect. I love the little hearts on the ladybug.

Oh Carol I'm so sorry to hear about your fingers, that sounds nasty and painful... and then an inconvenience while healing! However, this card is SO cute, I hope that makes up for it a little that the bow is perfect and so fluffy. This is a beautiful card, whoever you decide to give it to will be sure to love it. :)

I love the dimension with the hearts on the ladybug body and on the antennae. Burnt fingertips? That totally doesn't work with this hobby! Hope you get those healed up real soon!
